RC Mens Retreat with Fr Shawn Aaron

This is a 6-day silent retreat for men who are part of the Regnum Christi Movement, or who are interested and discerning.

God is love, light and mercy. The Ignatian Spiritual Exercises method of retreat has succeeded for over five-hundred years in helping people encounter God's wisdom and love for them. The program has a balance of conferences, personal time, dialogue, and healthy meals in a beautiful and clean setting overlooking Santa Clara. The spiritual exercises of this weekend focus on our identity as Regnum Christi members: exploring more deeply what Christ is calling us to as Regnum Christi members, with an opportunity to renew our commitment at the end of the weekend.

Our guest director is Fr. Shawn Aaron, L.C., who was ordained in 2002.

We are able to accommodate special dietary needs. We are certain your experience will be beautiful and spiritually renewing.

Men's Evening: Fathered by God, Part 1

Please join us on Tuesday, January 16 as we kick off a six part series based on the six stages of masculine development as presented in the book Fathered by God, by John Eldredge: boyhood, cowboy, warrior, lover, king, sage.  We will reflect on one stage each month from January to June.

This month Fr Thomas Vendetti will give a general introduction to the series and then focus on the first stage of boyhood.  Some testimonies will help initiate an engaging conversation on the topic.  If you can read the book, it would be a great way to prepare and have a more fruitful reflection together.

Men's Evening of Reflection, Advent: Christ the Man

Join us for the Advent Men’s Evening of Reflection!  Fr Brian Shininger will unpack the mystery of the incarnation by looking at what it means for Christ to live as a man.  Did Jesus feel, think, and desire as we do?  Based on John Eldredge’s book, Wild at Heart, he will explore the three core desires of a man’s heart - battle, adventure, beauty - as manifested in the life of Christ.

December 12 is also the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which we will observe with due reverence both at Mass and with a Mexican fiesta to follow!

Women's Evening: Practical Tools for Managing Anxiety

Please join us on Tuesday November 28, 2017 for our next women's evening.

Our guest speaker is Sharon Hensley and her topic is on using practical tools for managing anxiety.

With the holidays upon us, activities and family events in high gear, this time of year can often create intense stress that robs us of the true joy of Advent.

Our speaker has spent years helping people build tools to help manage issues related to stress, anxiety, attention, as well as special needs.

Understanding our bodies and minds in relation to our spirit and soul helps up to live an integral and well balanced life. When one aspect of our lives is out of balance, disorder and chaos are soon to appear. This can lead to a cycle that is very hard to break. Join us as we find practical and concrete ways to combat the effects of stress in our lives as well as setting up the necessary margins that will help us foster a healthy and balanced life.

"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down but a good word makes him glad"- Proverbs 12:25

Men’s Evening: Fathering Families in the Faith

Gentlemen, you want your children to know and love our faith. This is not going to be an easy task. Pew Research studies indicate that about 40% of Catholic high school seniors who go to Church today will give up the Catholic faith before the age of 35.

Fr Timothy will highlight four major factors causing the massive gap of faith in Catholic young adults. He will talk about the role of fathers, brothers, husbands, and sons in passing on faith in Christ's to future generation, and give four tips for how we can do this more effectively.

Whether you have kids of your own or not, please join us for a very important discussion that is relevant to us all.
